Craig Howard (pastor at Bryn
Mawr Presbyterian in Cottage Grove), Scott Marrese-Wheeler (pastor at Parkside Presbyterian in Madison), and myself are brainstorming
ways for our congregations to be connected to one another and support one another in ministry. We're starting with a book
club and inviting all the congregation members to be a part of it.
We will be reading,
Creating a Healthier Church: Family Systems Theory, Leadership, and Congregational Life by Ronald
Richardson, a short, easy read. Our hope is to rotate between the three churches, meeting once a month on either the 2nd
or 3rd Tuesday at 11 AM for an hour of discussion and then head to lunch at a local restaurant. We have read the
first three chapters. After a break over December, we hope to meet again in January. If you are interested in being part of
this book study, please contact Pastor Jess.
